Inner-city Programs BCFS’ inner-city programs utilize grassroots efforts to reach local students one-on-one, encouraging them to stay in school and pursue higher education goals. One of our most popular programs is located in the heart of San Antonio’s west side, where less than three percent of homes have a computer. BCFS’ Guadalupe Street Coffee is a spot where local students can use free public computers to do homework, study, meet with college advisors, and hang out in a safe place. Other programs, like Green & Clean, provide real world work experience for at-rsik youth; providing the hand up -- not hand out -- they need to make it on their own. “One Stop Shop” for Non-Profit Resources Establishing a collaborative environment for the efficient delivery of human services is an effective way to provide resources to children and families. BCFS’ South Texas Centre is one example of how our organization is helping communities coordinate resources and best serve those in need.
